Proud as Golden Circle Punch
Golden Circle was proud to be inducted into the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame last night in
Brisbane.
The Hall of Fame recognises the public contribution made by leading businesses and business figures toQueensland’s reputation and economic development.
Following in the footsteps of inaugural inductees Burns Philp & Co, Castlemaine Perkins and QANTAS, Golden Circle was recognised for its contribution to the Queensland economy, pioneering of the fruit and vegetable processing industry, and for its status as an iconic food and beverage brand.
Northgate Site Manager Simon Leonard explained that Golden Circle’s contribution to the Queensland economy has extended over many years, “through the purchase of fruits and vegetables from hundreds of Queensland farmers, employment of thousands of workers at the Northgate factory, and contracts with hundreds of other suppliers and service providers who we rely on to produce great tasting fruit and vegetable products.”
Queenslanders have grown up with the Golden Circle brand and it remains true to what consumers expect of it - providing consistently high quality products, remaining true to its history and connection with the Queensland community, and honouring that all important ingredient, Queensland sunshine.
Former Growers and Board Members joined in the celebration last night, in recognition of the contribution they have made to our company.
“People like Lindsay Fullerton, Eldo Di Pasquale, Gary Pike, Michael Cruice and Peter Voight have played a big role in Golden Circle’s heritage and in the company’s contribution to Queensland” said Simon Leonard.
“They represent that ‘have-a-go’ Queensland spirit still synonymous with the Golden Circle brand and we’re delighted they could join us to help celebrate this recognition of our heritage,” said Simon.
Former Pineapple Grower and Board Member Lindsay Fullerton says “Golden Circle is an iconic brand that symbolises sunshine, quality, integrity.”
And we’re very proud of that.
