A Taste of Harmony
With one in four Australian workers born overseas, the need to acknowledge and support our rich cultural diversity has never been more important.
An initiative of the Scanlon Foundation, A Taste of Harmony (ATOH) is a national campaign with recognises and celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity by encouraging staff to share their culture with fellow colleagues through the medium of food.
ATOH promotes staff bringing a plate to work which represents their cultural background or favourite dish. There is no fundraising involved – ATOH is simply about enjoying a delicious multicultural meal, and learning more about the cultural diversity of the workplace.
In keeping with previous years, Heinz and Golden Circle are proud to once again promote diversity in our workplace through facilitating ATOH lunches and inviting our staff to participate. Additionally, we are showing our support externally through the presence of our products in Woolworths advertising which lend themselves to multicultural dishes.
To promote and support cultural diversity in your workplace, register to be part of ATOH in 2011. Registration details and more information about the event can be found at the official ATOH website .
